We all know that gaining backlinks to your website are really useful to help you to gain better search engine results but be careful as not all is as it seems and some can do more harm than good.

Make sure that you are not adding links from sites that have bad reputations, they could be blacklisted and banned from appearing on search engine results pages and this will have an adverse effect on your SEO ranking and results. Blacklists are updated on a regular basis by the search engines and if they think that your site is involved in a link exchange programme it is more likely to punish you then benefit you so be careful!!
