When you're beginning a Multilingual SEO project, your first step will be to translate the content of your current website but before you can begin that you will need to translate your keyword list. Keywords are the most important part of your search engine optimisation project so it is essential to make sure that these are correctly translated to your target language or country.

Not only will you need an expert linguist to translate your keyword list, you will need someone (preferably from your target country) to go through and change or remove irrelevant words that they would not use. For example a keyword in the UK 'buy cheap cars' might translate into several different keywords in another country. Although you may think that culture has no relation to SEO, you need to be sure that the keywords you have selected are appropriate to that country as realistic search phrases, which is part of their culture.

Once you have your keywords translated you can move on to translating your content and optimising as you write to include your new keyword list. Our SEO specialists know exactly how to translate your content to be fully optimised before it's even live, contact us now for more information.
