A Blog is when a company posts an article on their website about a topic, normally relating to the subject of the website, that customers can view and add comments. The only difference between this and a forum is that in a forum customers can add topics of their own with no input from the company or website owner.

Blogs and Forums are a great way of building up the content of your website, you can add new articles everyday of different topics all relating to your website very easily through your CMS. By doing this you will be posting lots of your keywords and other words that are all specific to your market area which search engines can crawl through. The more natural content you have on your site, not seen to be synthetic or fake, the more search engines will think that you are knowledgeable about your market and rank you higher in listings for relevancy.

The articles will always stay there and can be good for customers to see and comment about topics they may not be so aware of.
