One of the main advantages of advertising online is that you can target your market direct, not like an advert in a newspaper that everyone can read, by putting your website on search engine results pages through SEO or PPC you are only marketing yourself to users who actually have an intent to buy from your website. This saves a lot of money as you're not wasting time on people who aren't interested in your services making it much more effective.

Also, from a more practical perspective, having a website containing all of the information about your company and services will save you time explaining to people what you do as they will already know and be interested before they call you.
