White Hat SEO techniques are methods that are generally approved by the search engines as the techniques try to follow the search engine guidelines to optimise the site. If search engine optimisation techniques are not complying appropriately with the search engine guidelines then this could lead to the site being banned either temporarily or permanently. To ensure this doesn’t happen, here are just a few tips to White Hat SEO:

Quality Content

Creating well written, relevant and unique copy for the site is a major part of moving up the search rankings. Search engines look to generate search results, which it believes to be the most appropriate website for any given search for the end user. If a website clearly conveys its products and services then it will have a good chance of being ranked highly.

Titles and Meta Data

Ensuring that the meta data and titles for each page is vital as it is a declaration as to what the content might be. Using ketwords and phrases to relate to the content on the page means that the search engines realise quickly what your site’s about.

Keyword Research

Making sure you are using the right keywords on your site means that when people find your site in the search engines, they will be able to identify with the words they are reading. If customers identify with your website then they are more likely to purchase a product or make further contact.
