I've just read that a new website is launched into the internet world every 4.5 seconds. That's quite a lot of websites, especially when you're in the SEO industry, because that's about 13 sites per minute wanting to reach top in search engine's rankings.
During the development of new search engine Bing this was taken into consideration and Microsoft have tried to create a search engine that makes decisions and avoids giving you just a list of links, it wants to avoid the rubbish. To look at this simply, Google is after relevance from a website, Bing is after an answer; it wants to give the user a website with unique content and gives you other varied options to find what that user is looking for.
Given that Bing has only been fully live for a couple of weeks it's a great acheivement that it's the third biggest search engine in the world, obviously with Google at the top and Yahoo just ahead. The use of Bing is steady at the moment but it did overtake Yahoo the day after release (no surprise) and it may well overtake again soon, we'll keep a look out and update you again! Bing is the new search engine created by Microsoft earlier this month, after much speculation.
