When looking to improve your online presence and search engine rankings by using a SEO expert to carry out a search engine optimisation campaign you are always looking for when you are going to see improvements. Obviously you are going to want to get these improved results as soon as possible but the thing to remember with optimisation is that it is not a quick one step process.

SEO campaigns have different time frames depending on the complexity of the project, if you are doing a basic project then the timescales can be small but if you are doing a strategic SEO campaign then the timescales can be over a much longer period.

Most SEO specialists like SEO Junkies recommend a minimum of 6 months to start seeing fast improvement with strategic projects lasting up to a year, however this does not mean that you will not see any improvement until then. It may be the case that some of your rankings will soar in a matter of weeks but again this will depend on the level of your project and the keywords that you are optimising against.
