Why isnt my website already optimised

There is a belief among many that a new website should be optimised straight out of the box. In a perfect world this would be the case but in reality it is not. Time constraints, bug fixing and poor planning can all result in a site that does not perform as it should in the Search Engine Results Pages.

What is required, even for newly built sites, is a proper SEO strategy designed to maximise performance in the results pages. Sometimes this may be as little as cleaning up code and making sure that tree structures follow a naming convention that will boost relevancy in sub-pages. Other site will require a complete revision of the linking strategy and addition of an on site news page or blog module.

The best way to be sure is to instruct an expert SEO company to review your site and plan a strategy to maximse its potential.
