These changes do alter the drive of Search Engine Optimisation somewhat. While the importance of maintaining BackLinks has not decreased it is now very important to ensure a high frquency of relevant keywords and phrases. In a competitive market the temporal nature of search results now means that blogging, news updates and other content  may have to be posted up at particular times to ensure that it reaches the desired audience at the right time. This time dependant relevance score can't be too heavily weighted, in this blogger's opinion, as there would need to be some checking to make sure that the content is of a high quality, but if two equally weighted news items are posted then it is fair to say that the one that is posted last will be presented first.
