Do your Google map listings have no impressions

Google map listings are great for promoting your business, not only can Google users find you easier, as listings information appears above other natural results, but they can also check exactly where your company is located, very important for any business at which customer presence is required.

However the system does take some setting up and it can happen that after setting up your listings it seems that nothing has been updated. If this happen to you then the first thing to do is not panic. If you have only recently updated your listing then it may just be that you are checking prior to the refresh cycle. Leave a week or so and then check back.

If you still can’t see your impression in maps after waiting for the next refresh then you may have a duplicate. Google punishes duplicate content so a duplicate listing will not appear. Google have published a guide to removing duplicate information, the basic message being that within you account you must consolidate your enhanced information onto one listing, the one you wish to keep, and the remove all but the most basic information from the listings you wish to remove. When you update these changes Google will effectively supersede the reduced listings with the information in the one you wish to keep, it may take another week for the update cycle to do this but once it has you will be able to safely delete the duplicates.
