Don't fill your content with lots of links

One of the benefits from writing and syndicating content, such as blogs and articles, is that you can add internal links and build up new backlinks from external websites.

Backlinks are important for SEO because each link pointing towards your website is seen by search engines as a positive vote, so it contributes to increase your authority and therefore Google will improve your Page Rank. However, these backlinks should be unilateral in order to improve your SEO rankings because Google will consider less important reciprocal backlinks as they are simpler to build up than one-way links and also the benefits of a link will be to share between the two websites and no one of them will be awarded unless one of them has a higher the Page Rank.

Internal links, on the other hand, are very important for two main reasons: firstly they will draw traffic towards your website and secondly they will make spiders crawl several times the same web pages and the more search engines will read a web page the more they will recognise authority to your website. Internal links are beneficial but if you add a lot of them to your content they will worse your Page Rank. This is due to the fact that Google isn’t able to understand the main topic of your content and it is confused by the links relevancy to that particular pages web. SEO Junkies experts suggest adding a maximum of three internal links with a consistent anchor text pointing to three different web pages.
