Once you’ve got your brand new site live and looking goof, the next thing you need to worry about is getting people to see it. Search engines are of course one of the main ways for users to find your site but getting a brand new site to even appear on Google can be a slow task. The more authority your website has, the quicker your pages will be indexed, which is why it can take some time for a new site to be indexed. Worry not as there are a few internet marketing tactics that can speed up this arduous process.
Firstly, if you don’t have a XML sitemap then this needs to be rectified immediately as it is one of the main ways that search engines are able to find every page on your site. Once you have the XML sitemap you need to sign up for Google Webmaster Tools and submit your sitemap straight to Google. This ensures that Google is aware of every page on your site and that you want Google to index the site again very soon.
Increasing the number of backlinks to your site from other authority websites will also increase your chances as Google will find your site from these other sites, meaning that your site will be crawled more often. Making sure that you post on Facebook and Twitter on a regular basis can also increase crawling on your site as well generating relevant traffic to increase sales.
Finally we come to writing content and creating more internal links. Search engines love to read keyword rich content as it tells them what the site is all about and what you want to appear for. Increasing the number of internal links throughout the site will also keep the search engines on your site for longer and in turn index your pages. All of these techniques relate to SEO but it is extremely important that all of these bases are covered in order to get your brand new website indexed as quickly as possible.
