In these hard times the content on your website needs to be spot-on in order to sell your products instantly and not waste any time. To help you write your content and blogs for your website we have come up with a few tips on how to write good copy;

- Understand how you are aiming at, if you don’t know who you are targeting at then you won't be able to sell to them. Think of your products and the type of people who are likely to buy them to get a better idea of the language you need to use
- Try to write it specific to each individual so that’s it relevant and personal to every reader, like using "you" instead of "we"
- Tell your customers the benefits, don't go over the top on marketing flannel but make them firmly aware of what your product can do for them. There's no point selling to people who aren't interested
- Always put the benefits at the top of the content as users won’t bother to read it all if there’s no advantage for them so they need to see it straight away, much like the saying 'Put your best strawberry at the top of the basket'
- Write in a positive tone, be active and exciting, not boring. It helps to remove any use of "will", for example, "Kids love it" instead of "Kids will love it"
- Always test your copy over and over again, make amendments and test again, look at your competitors and take ideas. Also, when writing content for SEO remember to include as many keywords as possible!
- Add reassurances in your copy so that the benefits are backed up, people are even more cautious than they used to be so it's important to give them as much positive news as possible
- Add the call to action, how is someone going to buy your product without knowing how to buy it?
