Established over 20 years ago, Tie Rack has become a highly recognised retailer of apparel and accessories. Quickly establishing itself as a recognised brand seen in travel hubs and high streets worldwide, Tie Rack have recently moved into the 21st century and made the leap into online retail.
Tie Rack came to SEO Junkies with little online presence, having only had a flash based website featuring few pages for a number or years. Tie Rack were struggling to be listed in the top 100 search engine results for anything other than their brand name. Having just commissioned the build of a new ecommerce website, Tie Rack was conscious that the public needed to be able to find their products in the Search engine results pages (SERPS). Obtaining search rankings for the highly competitive keywords that Tie Rack needed to be appearing on Google for was going to be a tough task.
In addition, Tie Rack did not have any social media presence and given the size and popularity of the brand this seemed a natural progression and online marketing tool for the iconic brand.
As Tie Rack’s new ecommerce website was being built by our parent company, Advansys, we were able to seamlessly implement our search engine optimisation techniques prior to the ecommerce website going live. As Tie Rack had not previously sold their products online, we started by using our experienced SEO Copywriters to compose SEO friendly product descriptions. Written in an informative and fully optimised way that complied with Tie Rack’s brand guidelines, these product descriptions took away the need for Tie Rack to obtain a separate copywriter and took the optimisation process to the next level. Not only did we create product description but we also implemented a range of off page and on page SEO techniques.
Working with Tie Rack we created social media profiles and online marketing strategies which included the now famous “Tie Rack Tuesday” competition which has encouraged hundreds of Tie rack shoppers to join their social media pages such as Facebook and Twitter.
Within less than three weeks of the Tie Rack ecommerce website going live, the brand were being listed on top search engines such as Google for extremely the competitive search terms “scarves”, “ladies scarves”, “ladies accessories” and “mens accessories”. Our ongoing SEO effort on the Tie Rack website ensures that Tie Rack continues to be listed for keywords that drive traffic and push results further.
Our social media optimisation techniques have expanded Tie Rack’s marketing reach and allowed them to target an audience that is extremely responsive online.
